Angry Bird Angles

Students create their own Angry Birds Course by using a ruler to draw different ‘scenes’. You may need to show some students what Angry Birds is and how to play, there are some good demonstrations on YouTube or you can quickly play a game on the IWB. Once students have completed their course, they then need to highlight or identify all of the angles located in their course.

This task can be differentiated by asking students to locate and label;

  • Quarter turns and half turns
  • Right angles and angles that are smaller or larger than a right angle
  • Right, acute, obtuse, reflex and straight angles
  • Use a protractor to measure the degrees in each of their angles and label next to the name
